Who WE ARE . . .

Heart For The Fatherless is a local 501(c)3, non-profit that was started in 2008, in the Tri-Cities, by Christians who saw a need in regards to orphan and foster care and sought to fill it. Many of the families that began this organization had personally been touched by adoption and/or foster care and knew there was a gap in our community in regards to support for these families. While the road of adoption and foster care is a beautiful one full of hope, compassion, and restoration, it is also one full of trauma, hurt, and just plain hard places. It was these truths that led to the start of this organization with the core belief that support could make a difference in these families, and most importantly, these children’s lives!

 

Heart for the Fatherless now offers this support in two major ways: first, though hosting “The ONE Conference,” which offers education and support on topics covering all aspects of foster care and adoption, and, two, by giving significant financial grants to local Christian families in the process of adopting.

 

That said, our outreach has not been limited to the above. We have also done other amazing things with limited resources! These accomplishments, and our hope to do more, will be shared at our annual fundraising event which is also the avenue that provides the majority of our resources.                        

We are inviting you to join us, along with several hundred other guests, at the Tri City County Club on Saturday, October 8th, 2016, for an interactive dinner event called Journey of the Heart, where passports will allow you to travel to different countries, learn about local adoptive families we have supported, win prizes for participating in the adventures, feast on great international food, learn about the great things HFTF is doing in our community and beyond, oust your fellow travelers with your winning bid on the silent and live auctions, and more!
